Speaking

Cameron is a frequent speaker at corporate events, private clubs, schools and international events.

“Cameron Dueck’s lecture, in addition to being one of adventure, is a colorful and globally relevant story about climate change.”  – Rupert McCowan, Director,  Royal Geographical Society

Cameron used an ancient mode of transportation in his quest to understand a very modern problem, and the result is an intelligent and thrilling tale of discovery. Climate change has brought global attention to the Arctic, and this talk introduces the people at the center of the storm. Cameron tells the story of the hunters, community leaders and young Inuit struggling with a clash of cultures and changes to their environment. The Inuit are the first people to experience the day-to-day impact of climate change, but it is a story that could soon become our own if action is not taken. Cameron also tells an inspiring story of leveraging the different kinds of security you have in your life in order to pursue your true dream.

His previous audiences include: TEDxHK, Royal Geographical Society of Hong Kong, Shanghai International Literary Festival, COP15 (on behalf of WWF) and the Helsinki International Boat Show.

“Cameron Dueck’s engrossing account brings to life this remote and icy land which very few in the world have seen for themselves.”  Clive Tesar, Head of Communications, WWF International Arctic Programme.

“At a club known for the quality of its speaker programme, Cameron’s engaging, fluent accounts of both climate change in the Arctic and his yachting adventures rank among the FCC’s best received events over the past year.” – Tom Mitchell, President, Hong Kong Foreign Correspondents’ Club.

“We had already discussed the business and politics of climate change for several days, but hearing Cameron’s story was a refreshing reminder of the human aspect to climate change.” – Bruce Hicks, Chair, International Conference on Climate Change 2009
